QPN Challenge Quilts

This week-end I attended the QPN (Quilt Professional Network) Conference in Bird-In-the-Hand, PA. At the 2007 conference Mary Kerr offer a challenge – make an 18″ quilt out of this block. You can do anything with the block, but parts of it need to appear on the front of the quilt.

Yes, the Queen of Last Minute was finishing my quilt at the conference. On Friday I was wishing that I had a driver because I would have much rather been doing hand work for the three hours that it took me to drive to the conference. Oh well, she finished my quilt before the the appointed time when the quilts were be displayed.

The pink and the additional blue on this quilt are Feedsacks that I purchased at the Lancaster Quilt show last week-end. The entire front of the quilt is constructed from vintage fabrics.

Detail of the quilting – I think the tread color it alittle dark, I don’t know that I like the shadow affect.

Here is the label I put on my quilt. The backing is a reproduction fabric I purchased at Zook’s.

Can you find where each quilt includes at least a small piece of the above block?
