I will be teaching at Northern Star Quilters Super Saturday in February. I am considering offering my Disappearing Rainbow quilt as the project for the day. I have been testing and working on putting the pattern together. The project uses 24 Rainbow FQs; one dark and one light in the 12 colors on the color wheel.
Here are the FQs that I am using for this round of testing. I love this way of presenting FQs. I shared this stack of FQS at the Pelham Quilters meeting last night. Most of the evening I was fiddling, arranging and rearranging the folds on these FQs. (Actually, I was just using that as an excuse to just feel and pet the fabric.)
Here are the blocks that I am using for the quilt.
When I made the last rainbow quilt Autumn, my five year old granddaughter, requested that she get that quilt when I die. Well, today when I told her that I was making another rainbow quilt she asked if someone else had requested a rainbow quilt when I die and is that why I was making another one. Too bad all these layout options are not actually quilts – I could make alot of people happy when I die.
