New Hexagon Project

At our last mini group meeting Susan Wolman taught us how to make Hexa-flexagons in paper.

Being the Hexamaniac that I am I decided that I wanted to make one from fabric.

This Hexa-flexagon along with many other hexagons items will be for up for auction either Feb. 16 or 23 at –

Wonderful! I’m hooked! After watching your video on another blog, I spent hours reading about hexe-flexagons and even made one. I started to try making one from fabric via English Paper Piecing…but it began to feel like it would not work. Now that I’ve found your video and can blow it up full-screen it appears you zigzag stitched the fabric edges. What are you using as the base — something like interfacing? Do you have a tutorial or pattern to share for making these from fabric?

OK, Mary Anne… did you use the same technique that Susan taught? Amazing… did you print your own fabric or did you actually sit down and color it??? WOW!!!

Cool hexagon, Mary Anne! I did a google search and there are quite a few tutorials for making a hexa-flexagon. You can be sure I will be trying that out today!

BTW, I received your so cute hexapin last week in the mail. Thank you so much. As a hexagon junkie, I will surely be wearing it.
