 Jennie's Quilts

Emily

Emily's first quilt

Emily is the older of two girls.  During the summer when she went to Idaho to visit her grandparents she would help her grandma piece nine-patch blocks.  Naturally when Emily wanted to make her first quilt, she thought of making a nine-patch quilt.

2003

Emily decided she would make a special quilt for each of her children.  This is the quilt she made for first child, Autumn.

2006
Her second baby is on the way and so is the quilt.  Emily is just waiting for someone (who else but Mom) to quilt it!

2006
Emily made two of these wall hangings; one for her college roommate's wedding gift and one for herself.

Jennie

approx.  1994

Jennie is the younger of two girls in the family.  She never wanted to be outdone by her older sister.  As her older sister was making a quilt, Jennie was also working on one.

2003

When Jennie was in high school, she and her friend decided to celebrate "Best Friend Day."  Jennie wanted to make her friend a quilt.  This is the quilt she gave her best friend.

2003

One Mother's Day, Jennie really surprised her mother by making this wall hanging for her.  Jennie did it all by her self.  What a change from when she would roll her eyes when her mother suggested going to a fabric store!

2006

Jennie's favorite type of quilt is a flannel front, fake fur backing and ties.  Here is her latest project.  After she completed the quilt, she decided to use the scraps to make a couple of pillowcases.
